Gerald Robert Boyes, a 53-year-old white male, died on April 16, 2016, in Antioch, Illinois. Boyes was fatally shot by sheriff's deputies in the parking lot of Topper's Sports Bar. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. when deputies from Lake County and McHenry County attempted to arrest him.
