Dawson Stephan, a 16-year-old boy from Melrose Park, IL, tragically lost his life on June 3, 2016, after being shot while sitting on the porch of his home. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. when a white minivan drove up to the house and fired multiple shots into the backyard where Dawson and two other individuals were seated. Dawson suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood later that night.
