Ericka Cox-Bailey, a 30-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on June 12, 2016, in Champaign, Illinois. She was shot in the neck while walking home from a store near the intersection of North McKinley Avenue and Francis Drive. The incident occurred around 8 PM, and she succumbed to her injuries three days later on June 15, 2016.
