Dr. Margaret Shanahan, a 65-year-old Caucasian woman, was found dead on June 18, 2016, in her Hyde Park home in Chicago, IL. She was a prominent Jungian psychotherapist, well-regarded in her field. Her death was the result of a gunshot wound to the head, and it was ruled a homicide. The tragic incident was part of a murder-suicide, as her husband, 73-year-old Professor Richard Moore, was also found dead at the scene with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
