Ireal Mitchell, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on August 8, 2016, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred following an altercation at a basketball court in the Lawndale neighborhood. According to reports, Mitchell had slapped the teenage stepson of Sirena Crosby, a 38-year-old African American woman, during a verbal dispute. The teenager went home and informed Crosby about the incident.
