Ronald Jordan Boyd, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death in the early hours of August 22, 2020, in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago. The incident occurred in the 800 block of North Lorel Avenue. Boyd was among a group of people when the assailant, David Arrington, approached and opened fire. Boyd was struck multiple times and was later pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital.
