Justin Jones, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically murdered on April 27, 2017, in Danville, Illinois. The incident occurred when Jones was shot multiple times in what appeared to be a targeted attack. The investigation revealed that Jones had been involved in a confrontation with several individuals prior to the shooting. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing a group of people fleeing the scene. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death was ruled a homicide.
