Death by Force

Jose Pacheco, a 35-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on January 18, 2021, in Danville, Illinois. The incident led to a significant investigation by the Danville Police Department, in collaboration with the Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office. Following the investigation, Christopher Echols was indicted by a Vermilion County Grand Jury and formally charged with First Degree Murder on September 16, 2021. Echols was later apprehended in Joplin, Missouri.
