Darien Carter, a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 2, 2017, in Champaign, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 500-block of East Eureka Street, where Carter was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
