Jamie Lamont Rogers Jr., a 16-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 14, 2017, in Rockford, Illinois. Jamie was born on March 30, 2001, and was a beloved member of his community. He had a strong passion for basketball and played for four years with the Rock River Valley YMCA. He also played football for one year with the Jefferson J-Hawks and was involved in various bible camps and youth groups. Jamie was known for his big heart and love for all people.
