On January 3, 1970, the body of Catherine Cesnik, a 26-year-old nun, was discovered at a dumping site on Monumental Avenue in Halethorpe, Maryland. She had been missing since November 7, 1969, after leaving her apartment in Baltimore, reportedly on her way to the Edmondson Village Shopping Center.
