Kevin C. Jarrett, a 31-year-old African American male from Kankakee, Illinois, tragically lost his life on June 30, 2017, in University Park, Illinois. Jarrett, who was known to his friends and family as K.C., was attempting to sell a gaming system through the LetGo app, a platform for buying and selling second-hand items. The transaction, however, turned fatal when Jarrett was robbed and subsequently shot by individuals he met online for the sale.
