Alex Saldana, a 14-year-old boy from Posen, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed on the night of August 4, 2017. The incident occurred in the 14600 block of South Division Avenue, where Alex was found with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Despite efforts by paramedics to revive him, Alex was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 11:52 p.m. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office later ruled his death a homicide.
