Marc A. Barginear, a 61-year-old African American man, died on August 14, 2017, in Chicago, Illinois. His death was ruled a homicide by the Cook County medical examiner's office. Barginear had been shot in August 2014 in the Englewood neighborhood, specifically in the 5900 block of South Normal Avenue.
