Dion L. Maxwell, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on the night of August 28, 2017, in Ford Heights, a suburb of Chicago Heights, Illinois. According to the Cook County sheriff's office, officers responded to reports of shots fired at 9:52 p.m. in the 1400 block of Regent Lane.
