Carlos E. McGary, a 41-year-old man from Chicago, IL, was fatally shot on January 21, 2018, while driving in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side. According to reports, McGary was shot multiple times in the body around 2:20 a.m. while driving in the 12900 block of South Halsted. He was later pronounced dead at MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island at 2:44 a.m. The incident occurred without any immediate suspects in custody, and area South detectives were investigating the case.
