On the evening of July 11, 2021, 14-year-old White female Madison Elizabeth Parrott was at a house in Newton, Kansas, with a small group of friends. Their gathering was tragically interrupted when a 16-year-old male arrived at the residence. Witnesses reported that the male suspect was visibly intoxicated and was brandishing a handgun. He was waving the gun around and pointing it at people in the room before he fatally shot Madison.
