Brandon L. Brooks, a 35-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 15, 2018, in Carbondale, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 400 block of East Mill Street, where he was fatally shot. The Carbondale Police Department released his name shortly after the incident, confirming his identity and age.
