Jacob C. Gary, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 23, 2022, in Carbondale, Illinois. Jacob was born on December 8, 2003, in Sikeston, Missouri, and later moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where he spent most of his life. He was known for his talents in football and basketball and was a member of the Honorable Young Men’s Club. Jacob's untimely death occurred at Carbondale Memorial Hospital, leaving behind a son, NyYear Horrell, and a grieving family.
