John W. Bell III, a 24-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on April 7, 2018, in Peoria, Illinois. The incident occurred around 9:15 PM in the 2700 block of West Wyoming Street, a neighborhood on Peoria's South Side. When police arrived at the scene, they found John W. Bell III lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy later revealed that he had been shot ten times.
