Lavell Jones, a 19-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on April 24, 2018, in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred at approximately 8:57 p.m. in the 5100 block of West Chicago Avenue. According to reports, Jones was involved in an argument with a 15-year-old boy, which escalated into a shootout. Both individuals pulled out handguns and began firing at each other.
