Kyle McGowan, a 17-year-old African American male from Chicago, Illinois, was fatally shot on May 14, 2018. Kyle was an "outstanding scholar" and a "tech-head," known for his ability to take anything apart and put it back together. He loved to cook, eat, and spend time with kids, including his own baby girl. His mother had moved him to a new neighborhood in hopes of providing a better environment for him.
