Deeshane Grayer, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on June 17, 2018, in the North Austin neighborhood of Chicago, IL. Grayer was standing on the sidewalk around 11:30 a.m. when he was approached by Tarvey Green, a 20-year-old male, who emerged from an alley and shot Grayer multiple times with a .45-caliber handgun. Grayer was struck in the chest, thigh, and buttocks, and was pronounced dead at the scene less than an hour later.
