John L. Young was a 28-year-old man from Chicago's Far South Side when his life was cut short on a warm Wednesday night in mid-July 2018. He was standing on the front porch of a home in the 100 block of East 120th Place in the West Pullman neighborhood, close to midnight, when a minivan rolled past on the street.
