Darius Ortiz, a 20-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically killed on August 13, 2018, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the Albany Park neighborhood while Darius was walking to the store with his girlfriend and his 64-year-old grandmother. An unknown assailant exited a white SUV and opened fire, striking Darius in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His grandmother was also injured in the shooting, sustaining a gunshot wound to her arm and was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital
