On July 30, 2018, in Chicago, Illinois, 35-year-old Omar Norwood was fatally shot. The incident occurred during a violent encounter that also left Norwood's brother injured. The assailant opened fire on the two brothers, resulting in Norwood's death and his brother sustaining injuries.
