Michael Carney, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on October 21, 2018, in Harvey, Illinois. Carney, a well-known barber whose clientele included several Chicago Bears players, was attacked at a gas station near 150th Street and Dixie Highway. Despite being critically wounded, Carney managed to drive his car, with his 5-year-old daughter inside, to a nearby intersection before succumbing to his injuries.
