Charles Hartzol, a 60-year-old man from Riverdale, was fatally shot on May 3, 2020, in Harvey, IL. The incident occurred in the 14400 block of Des Plaines Street during an argument with another man. The argument began on the front porch of a home and escalated when one of the men shot Hartzol in the chest. Hartzol was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.
