Marcqui J. Apholone, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 8, 2018, in Decatur, Illinois. Marcqui, also known as "Kies," was born on January 21, 1993. His untimely death was the result of a fatal shooting that occurred in the 2100 block of East Whitmer Street in Decatur. The incident took place on November 9, 2018, and left the community in shock and mourning.
