Darius Binns, a 24-year-old African American male from Chicago, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed on January 1, 2019. The incident occurred in the suburb of Calumet Park, specifically near the intersection of 124th and Ada streets. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, Binns sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 1:36 p.m. on January 3, 2019.
