Murray Hayes, a 27-year-old man, was tragically shot to death on January 7, 2019, in Dolton, Illinois. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of East 152nd Street. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Hayes sustained gunshot wounds to the head and shoulder. He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Hayes lived in the same block where he was shot.
