Lance C. Willis Jr., a 16-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on February 7, 2019, near his school in Dolton, Illinois. Lance was a sophomore at the Academy for Learning and had aspirations of becoming a professional football player. He was known for his love of video games and neighborhood football games, and he cherished spending time with his large family and attending church with his mother.
