in the 10300 block of South Indiana Avenue.

Despite these hardships, she was known for her kind and helpful nature, always making herself available to assist others. She lived in the Brainerd neighborhood on the 9200 block of South Ada Street.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, and the investigation faced challenges due to the uncooperative nature of Brittany's boyfriend, who was with her at the time of the incident. No arrests have been made, and the police have not identified any suspects. The vehicle involved was later found with blood inside in the 11000 block of South Perry Avenue.
