Savon Burton, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on May 11, 2019, in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. According to reports, Burton was walking in the 5800 block of West Division Street around 5:45 p.m. when an assailant in a parked car opened fire on him. He was struck multiple times by gunfire and was subsequently transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
