Leifshorn Hooks, a 54-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 12, 2019, in Westchester, Illinois. The incident occurred on Mother's Day, adding a poignant layer to the tragedy. Leifshorn was found unresponsive in the bathroom of her home on Mannheim Road, with multiple gunshot wounds. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed that she died from these injuries, and her death was ruled a homicide.
