Deante Thompson, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on May 23, 2019, in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 12:25 a.m. when Deante was standing outside with a 15-year-old friend in the 6900 block of South Maplewood Avenue.
