Larry Matthews, a 27-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on July 8, 2019, in Harvey, Illinois. The incident occurred near 154th Street and Dixie Highway, where Matthews was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at 3:30 a.m., and an autopsy confirmed that he died from the gunshot wound, ruling his death a homicide. The Illinois State Police crime scene investigators were called to assist Harvey police in the investigation.
