Demetrius Flowers, a 33-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on August 4, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred during a block party on the West Side of Chicago, specifically in the 1800 block of South Kildare Avenue. Flowers had just returned home from work and decided to attend the party with a friend.
