Malcolm Sabbs, a 29-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on August 10, 2019, in the South Chicago neighborhood. The incident occurred around 1:35 a.m. while Sabbs was standing on the sidewalk in the 8600 block of South Exchange Avenue. A group of males approached him on foot and opened fire, striking him multiple times. Sabbs was hit in the head and was immediately taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead ...
