Paul Oliver Escamilla, a 40-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on September 16, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. He was an off-duty Chicago police officer at the time of his death. Escamilla was found unresponsive in the Bunker Hill Forest Preserve on the Northwest Side of Chicago, and an autopsy later confirmed that he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His death was ruled a suicide by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
