In the autumn of 2007, the life of a young Black man, Jason Fortune, was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. On the afternoon of September 28th, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the 24-year-old was in the 800 block of North Fremont Avenue when he was fatally shot.
