In the early hours of an autumn morning in Baltimore, Maryland, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. On October 6, 2007, at approximately 2:00 a.m., 20-year-old Darwin Lamar Kelly Jr., a Black male, was fatally shot in the 1700 block of Homestead Street. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Kelly with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the location.
