Death by Force

Jawaun D’shon Maxey, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on October 20, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred inside a residence in the Englewood neighborhood, specifically in the 6600 block of South Bishop Street. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Maxey was struck once in the neck by a gunshot and was subsequently taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
