Emoni Atomah, a 23-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on January 15, 2020, near St. Sabina Church in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred just hours after the church had held its annual peace march in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday.
