Reshawn Nelson, a 32-year-old African American man from Dolton, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed on April 5, 2020. The incident occurred inside his home on the 14700 block of Kenwood Avenue. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Nelson was shot multiple times just before noon and was pronounced dead shortly after at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
