Donta Parker, a 16-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on January 5, 2016, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Grand Crossing neighborhood, where Parker and his friend, Sakinah Reed, a 17-year-old African American female, were fatally wounded during a drive-by shooting. The shooting took place near 76th Street and Dorchester Avenue, marking the first double homicide of 2016 in Chicago. Another 16-year-old boy was also injured in the attack but survived.
