Jermaine Fleming, a 42-year-old man from South Chicago Heights, was fatally shot on April 14, 2020, in Chicago Heights. He succumbed to his injuries two days later at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Fleming's death was ruled a homicide by the Cook County medical examiner's office. He was shot in the head in the 200 block of East 14th Street.
