Johnny Zolicoffer, a 43-year-old Black male, was shot in the predawn hours of Father's Day weekend while standing along the 1200 block of South Farrar Drive on the northern edge of Douglass Park in Chicago's North Lawndale community. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found him unresponsive with wounds to the neck, upper thigh, and back. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
