Davion Butler, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 24, 2020, in Bridgeview, Illinois. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 7300 block of West 85th Place. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Butler was shot in the thigh, which severed a major artery, causing him to bleed to death. He was pronounced dead about an hour later. The autopsy results confirmed that his death was a homicide.
