William Porter Jr., a 42-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on July 9, 2020, in East St. Louis, Illinois. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. at the G&P Confectionery, a store he owned, located at 1332 Bond Avenue. The East St. Louis Police Department responded to the scene and initiated a homicide investigation.
